Oasis Medical Fellowship is an interdenominational Christian ministry encouraging healthcare students and medical professionals across the Texas Medical Center.
Who we are
An oasis in the largest medical center in the world.
The Texas Medical Center in Houston is the largest medical center in the world, with more than one million patients and visitors passing through its hospitals and clinics every year. It is like a city within Houston, where the need to share the love of God is great among many social and ethnic groups.
Oasis reaches out to hundreds of medical and dental students, residents, specialists, and other professionals who arrive from across Texas, other states, and around the world for training and work. Many face real challenges as they move to a new city or country. Spiritually, they can find themselves in a desert, thirsty for the living water of God’s love and the fellowship of good friends.
What we do
Worship, study, and friendship, all year round.
We meet every two months at First Presbyterian Church of Houston for dinner, music and songs, a healthcare related lecture, and a time of fellowship. Between gatherings, we have social events and a home Bible Study every other month.
Bimonthly gatherings
Dinner, worship in music and song, and a special healthcare related lecture, followed by warm fellowship and friendship.
📖 Home Bible studies
Small group studies and special lunches in homes, where Scripture, prayer, and community come together.
Mentoring and missions
Spiritual mentoring, discipleship, and participation in community programs and missions, locally and globally.
